Bill is a fourth generation farmer growing up on the farm in Glenn. After attending U.C. Davis, and earning a B.S. in Agricultural Economics, Bill returned to work on the family farm. From farm laborer, ranch manager, controller, and now to President, Bill has been working to continue to grow and diversify the farming operation. Bill is a graduate of the California Ag Leadership Program, a Glenn County Planning Commissioner, on the board of the California Walnut Marketing Board, a Sunday school teacher and Little League coach. To relax, Bill enjoys hunting, golf, baseball and spending time with his family. Bill and his wife Jen have three very active children. They are constantly on the go with swimming, baseball, volleyball, soccer, violin lessons and school activities.


Dick was born May 21, 1942 in Willows, CA. Dick attended local schools through high school. He attended the University of California, Davis where he earned his B.S. degree in Ag Bus. Mgt. Dick participated in R.O.T.C. at Davis and was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. army. He served 2 years on active duty including 13 months in Korea. He married his college sweetheart, Nina, and after the military service settled on the family farm where he went into business with his brother Herb. Dick spent his career running the rice operation and business office. He served on several boards including: Director of Glenn Growers Dryer, Vice Chairman of Rice Growers Assn, President and Director of Willows Federal Land Bank. He also participated in California Ag Leadership program for two years. He was elected to Cal Aggie Sports Hall of Fame. Dick is semi retired but still serves as Corporate Ombudsman and active member of the Board of Director’s for Carriere Family Farms.


Matt was born in Panorama City, CA and moved to Sacramento when he was 2 years old. Settling in Roseville, CA, Matt attended Roseville High School where he was a member of the golf and wrestling team. After high school, Matt attended Sierra College before transferring to California State University, Chico. Matt majored in Accounting and graduated in 1995 with a double major in Accounting and Production & Operations Management. After graduation, Matt moved to the Bay Area and started working for Applied Materials. Matt spent 10 years at Applied Materials. Wanting to start a family of his own outside the Bay Area, Matt left Applied Materials in 2004 and joined Carriere Family Farms. Matt oversees all walnut processing operations including buying, selling and processing. When not working, Matt enjoys hunting, golf, running and being with his family. Matt is married to Alison. They have two sons.


Gary is a fourth generation California farmer. After graduating from Chico State University in 1978 he began working for Oxy Chemical. After obtaining his Pest Control Advisor's license in 1979 he sold chemicals for Simplot Soilbuilders. In 1992 he brought his PCA skills to the farm and became the Ranch Manager for Carriere Brothers Inc. Currently Gary's main responsibility is overseeing all farming operations including rice, walnuts and olives for Carriere Brothers Inc. and Carriere and Sons Partnership. Gary is married to his high school sweetheart, Cindy and they have 3 children, Jason, Kelli and Jared. In addition, Gary currently has two granddaughters and 2 grandsons on the way


Rick was born in Willows, CA the fifth of six children. While attending Willows High School he worked on the family dairy and participated on the football, baseball and wrestling teams. After high school he went to Yuba College where he played football and baseball. Rick transferred to Cabrillo College where he studied construction management. After college, Rick became a general building contractor for the next 15 years. In 1995 he joined Carriere Family Farms and is currently the manager of the walnut production division including walnut hulling & drying. Rick enjoys his family, hunting, fishing, and golf. Rick is married to Corinne and they have three sons.


A fourth generation California farmer, Gus grew up on a farm in the Artois area where the family raised sheep and grew wheat, barley, alfalfa, and clover. He attended Orland schools, Cal Poly, SLO, and graduated from CSU, Chico, with a degree in Ag Business. After college, he was part of a family farming partnership growing wheat, row crops and rice. In 1986, he left the production side of farming to manage the Orland-Artois Water District. In 1997, Gus brought his experience to Carriere Family Farms with his most recent focus being the oversight of the Artois and Willows orchards development, predominantly composed of olive plantings for oil production. He currently serves on the board of the California Olive Council. Gus and his wife, Donna, have three adult children, Matt, Kim and Kari. Gus enjoys golfing, hunting and spending time with his family.
